General Terms

Eligibility

Users must be legally capable of entering into binding agreements and meet any specific eligibility criteria for offered courses or assessments. Employers enrolling staff must ensure the enrollee meets eligibility conditions required by SkillRForge or by any certifying body involved.

Users must be at least 16 years of age to register for SkillRForge without parental consent. For learners under 16, a parent or legal guardian must register and provide consent where permitted by law.

You must use SkillRForge in accordance with applicable law. You must not use the platform for unlawful purposes or to transmit content that infringes the rights of others, is defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or otherwise prohibited.

SkillRForge services are provided from Switzerland and are intended to comply with Swiss law. Access from other jurisdictions may be subject to local legal restrictions. It is your responsibility to ensure that use of the platform is lawful in your location.

Services provided

SkillRForge delivers digital learning modules, assessments, certification preparation, competency mapping and reporting tools. Course content may be produced by SkillRForge or third-party content partners. Services may include instructor-led sessions, self-paced modules, practical assessments and administrative support for qualification processes.

We may update or modify services, course content, schedules and instructional personnel as required for quality, regulatory compliance or operational reasons. Users will be notified of material changes affecting enrolled courses where feasible.

We endeavour to make services available as published, subject to scheduled maintenance, third-party dependencies and unforeseen technical disruptions. Interruptions may occur and we will take reasonable steps to minimise service disruption.

User content

Users may submit information, assignments, feedback and other content to the platform. Submitted material should be accurate and lawful and must not infringe intellectual property or third-party rights.

You retain ownership of content you submit to your account, subject to any third-party rights. By submitting content you represent that you have the necessary rights to do so.

By uploading content you grant SkillRForge a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, distribute and display that content as necessary to provide the services, including for assessment, reporting and quality assurance.

You are responsible for the content you submit. Do not upload sensitive personal data about others without lawful basis and consent. SkillRForge may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Requests for removal of user content should be directed to [email protected] or [email protected]. We will review removal requests in accordance with applicable law and our policies.

Paid services

Certain SkillRForge services are fee-based, including course enrolments, certification assessments and premium features. Paid services are subject to the pricing and billing terms provided at the time of purchase.

Prices for paid services are displayed on SkillRForge.digital and in purchase flows. Prices are expressed in the currency indicated and exclude taxes and third-party fees unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for applicable taxes unless a valid exemption applies.

Payments are processed using third-party payment processors. By purchasing you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method. Payment must be made in full before access to paid content or assessments unless a separate agreement specifies different terms.

Subscription-based services are billed according to the plan selected. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy. You may manage subscription settings in your account.

Refunds are handled case by case. If you seek a refund, contact [email protected] with your order details. Refunds may be provided where services have not been delivered as described or under consumer protection rules applicable in your jurisdiction.

You may cancel paid services as specified in the service terms. Cancellation will stop future billing but may not affect fees already incurred for services already rendered. Access to paid features may end at the end of the current billing period.

You are responsible for any taxes related to purchases unless otherwise stated. SkillRForge will apply taxes where required by law and will reflect tax charges on invoices and receipts.

We may revise prices for services from time to time. Price changes will apply to new purchases and, for subscription services, on renewal unless otherwise stated at the time of notification.

Non-payment may result in suspension or termination of access to paid features. We may use collection measures permitted by law to recover unpaid fees.

Disclaimer

SkillRForge provides educational content and tools to support professional development. Content is provided for informational and educational purposes and does not constitute a promise of employment, promotion, certification success or any specific outcome. Users are responsible for how they apply learning in their professional context.

Third-party services and partners

Courses, assessments and content may involve third-party partners. Use of third-party services is subject to the partner's terms and privacy policies. SkillRForge does not assume responsibility for third-party actions or content beyond what is expressly stated in our agreements.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal data. By using the platform you consent to the collection and processing of personal data as set out in that policy.

Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms on SkillRForge.digital with the effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes arising in connection with these Terms should first be addressed through our customer support channels. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to the competent courts in Sion, Switzerland, unless mandatory jurisdiction rules require otherwise.

Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your login details secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating and maintaining your account. Failure to do so may affect access to services and compliance with certification or regulatory requirements.

Protect your account by choosing a strong password and enabling available security features. Do not share credentials. SkillRForge implements security measures but cannot be held liable for account compromise resulting from user negligence.

Accounts are personal and may not be transferred or assigned without our written consent. Sharing credentials is discouraged and may result in suspension.

If you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and notify [email protected]. We will take reasonable steps to secure the account and contribute.

We may suspend or restrict access to an account for breaches of these Terms, suspected fraud, non-payment, or where required by law or regulatory obligation. We will provide notice where practicable.

User conduct rules

When using SkillRForge you agree to comply with the following conduct rules designed to protect the community and maintain professional standards.

• Provide truthful, accurate and lawful information in profiles, assessments and submissions.
• Respect the intellectual property rights of SkillRForge and third parties; do not upload or share infringing materials.
• Refrain from abusive, discriminatory, harassing or otherwise offensive behaviour toward other users or staff.
• Use the platform only for legitimate professional development and qualification activities.
• Do not attempt to interfere with platform security, access another user's account, or disrupt services.
• Comply with any specific rules or guidelines applicable to particular courses, assessments or partner programs.
• Report suspected violations of these rules to [email protected] so they can be addressed promptly.

Intellectual Property

All content provided by SkillRForge, including text, designs, course materials, software, and activity, is protected by intellectual property rights owned or licensed by SkillRForge. Users may access and use content for personal, non-commercial learning purposes only, except where a different licence is granted.

• Do not copy, reproduce or distribute SkillRForge proprietary content without express written permission.
• Do not create derivative works from proprietary course content for public distribution unless authorised.
• Attribution of SkillRForge is required where permitted uses are exercised in accordance with licence terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkillRForge and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with use of the platform. Liability for direct damages is limited to amounts paid by the user for the specific service in the twelve months preceding the claim, except where stricter limits apply under applicable law.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the platform for breach of these Terms, non-payment, fraudulent activity or where required by law. You may terminate your account by following the account closure process in your account settings or contacting support.

On termination, access to paid content will cease and any outstanding obligations remain due. We may retain certain information as required for legal, regulatory or legitimate business purposes.

Communications

We communicate with users by email and in-platform notifications. Notices required by these Terms may be delivered electronically to the email address associated with your account. Official notices to SkillRForge may be sent to: Rte des Mayens de Salins 143, 1992 Sion, Switzerland.

Applicable law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Parties agree that the courts of Sion (Valais), Switzerland are the competent courts for disputes unless mandatory jurisdiction rules provide otherwise.
